Cash; admit

Hi,

Police stumbled onto the bookmaking activities after an American tourist reported US$1,000 in cash had been taken from her bag during a security check while in transit on July 25.

Can I delete "in" or "in cash" from the sentence?

The CCTV showed the supervisor was involved, but he admitted taking only US$100 "out of greed."

Can I add "to" in front of "taking"?

He admitted using passwords of his colleagues to look up the particulars of his victims.

Can I add "to" in front of "using"?

Thanks in advance
