Caseworks?

Hi, I have a question here. Please help me.
What's the meaning of "casework" when you say "the casework decorated the house"? I think it's about a watch or a clock or something like those. Can "casework" mean the case of a big striking clock, or a clock on the mantelpiece, especially a case made by great effort?
Thanks in advance!

"Casework" is a modern architectural term that means decorative wood paneling or cabinetry. This is all the rage today in interior design: gussying up the interior of a home or office with wood panels and cabinets everywhere.
