Case of thrown-in remarks

Hi,

Let say that I am writing a birthday invitational card and to make it more interesting, I will write in some catching remarks or statements (I don't know that they are called.). For those ones, Can I capitalize the content words?? and not capitalize the functional? words? I am talking about the two colored and enlarged sentences. Thank you.

(How would you punctuate the underlined part if you choose to punctuate the part?)

Sample invitational card:

Hey, I am having a Birthday Party

When: September 24th at 7 P.M.

Where: My house

Come all to join the fun.

Goodies will be Served.

Expect the Unexpected.

See you there.

Interesting enquiry, Believer. Catchy remarks . Actually, the whole content of your example seems like a series of thrown-in remarks, in that half are not sentences, so if I were writing this specific one, I would just include them all in the same font and format.

  • But yes, that kind of remark is indeed often added at the top or bottom of a text-- like RSVP , for instance, or Latecomers will not be Seated , or Refreshments will be served .
  • And yes, I think you can capitalize either like a headline or like a standard sentence.
