Does "to cascade information" mean "to pass on information successively"?

I would suggest that it means to pass information down the ranks. So a manager would pass it to the supervisor, who would in turn pass it to their direct subordinates etc etc. But, I agree that without a context it is hard to be sure.

Yes, sorry, I forgot to give the context! It is indeed supposed to be about information being passed down the ranks within a company.
