Can I say,

(a) He is carrying the loads / some loads into the van.


(b) He put the loads into the van.

Normally I will use it as a verb, but now I use it as a noun, I'm not sure whether I use it correctly or not.I need your advice, thanks.

a) He is carrying the loads / some loads into the van.


(b) He put the loads into the van.

Your use of 'load' as a noun is appropriate, but it would normally be singular here, since each van carries one load. Using 'load' the way you have suggests that they are loads from another vehicle or container which are being transferred to the van. Once they are in the van, they become one load.

Thanks, I'm wondering why do we use load as a singular and only one load for a van? Why don't we use it as a plural?
