carry on from

Is carry on from correctly used?

How do you say this? I think the commentator said "That's carrying on"
He has scored 15 points in a row. Thats carrying on from last quarter into this one, I am talking about. He scored 8 to end the 3rd quarter and the first 7 points in the 4th quarter.

Thanks
