Carrey To Have 'Fun with and Jane'

Even after 3 years of preparation ... Jim Carrey still couldn't get something as simple as the obvious difference between a Bimmer and a Beemer correct in this movie!
It makes him (and the director) look stupidly illiterate.

Which, I guess, is the point.

Carrey To Have 'Fun with and Jane'
Wed, Jun 04, 2003, 08:06 AM PT
HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - Jim Carrey ("Bruce Almighty,") will star in a remake of Ted Kotcheff's 1977 hit comedy "Fun With and Jane" for Columbia Pictures. The film will be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld ("Men in
Black II") and produced by Brian Glazer.
Based on the novel by Gerald Gaiser, the original movie centered on an upper
middle-class couple, played by George Segal and Jane Fonda, who pulled heists in order to pay the bills.
The new picture will be updated by screenwriter Peter Tolan ("Analyze This")
reports Variety. No actress has yet been cast for the role of Jane.

Carrey, who is currently lending his voice to Tim Johnson's animated comedy
"Over the Hedge," will be starring next in Michel Gondry's "Eternal Sunshine
of the Spotless Mind" opposite Kate Winslet.
No production date has been set for "Fun With and Jane."

[nq:1]So, I think I'm safe from ridicule when I say "I drive an E-series Bimmer".[/nq]
Well, not exactly. You see, all BMWs (at least since the late '60s) are "E-series" - unless you really meant that you say "I drive an E39 Bimmer." Even that is on the redundant side because anyone who knows what the "E-series" is already knows that it's a BMW and most of us who do will also know wh
