The carpet & paint of an office is correct.

It's because carpet and paint are not countable nouns. You don't say one carpet, or two carpets. Rather you would say the carpet in my daughter's room is pink. Or you could say I need two thousand square feet of carpet to cover my entire house. The same goes for paint. You would say one can of paint or two cans of p

For this particular question, there's only one kind of paint and carpet in an office even though the office might be large.

If a house or office has more than one kind of carpet or paint, then carpets or paints might be more appropriate.
