Hi teachers!
I'd like to know whether #3 and #4 are acceptable and grammatical.
1. I gave her a chance to present
2. The employees offered her careful shipping.
3. A chance to present was given her.
4. Careful shipping was offered her by the employee.
Of course #5 and #6 are grammatical as I know.
5.A chance to present was given to her.
6. Careful shipping was offered to her by the employee.

You'll hear forms such as "given her" and "offered her" used by some people. To my ear they are inferior, and in careful English I would prefer "given/offered to her". My feeling is that the forms without "to" may be more widespread in AmE (I am a BrE
