Career discontinuity

Hi teachers~

I am looking for expressions to describe a situation where sb (especially a woman) cannot get employed once she gets married or she gets pregnant. (Sort of sexism.)

I have found "career discontinuity"

but I haven't figured out if it's exactly what I am looking for.

If it's right, would you introduce one sentence with 'career discontinuity?'

If not, would you let me know if there is any good expression for it?

Thank you~
