Letter Writing

Carbon Copy someone in place of someone else

I have a letter that has someone carbon copied. My boss does not want to re-do the letter, but one of the carbon copied people needs to be changed. He said to use an "xe" and put the other person's name (the one that should be carbon copied in place of the person's name that is currently listed).

I'm afraid I don't know what that means. Can anyone help? Thanks.
