car card

Hi
In my country when we get to a checkpinoint or an officer stops us to check the documents we have to have a driving license, an insurance card and a ''car card'' which has some information like the color, the number, the engine displacement, the number of passengers it can carry and etc.
I want to know if it's the same in other countries especially in the US. And if yes, what is it called ? Does it hav ethe same information ?
Thank you
