Captions' Writing

Hello!
I wanna ask about captions'/tittles'/headers' writing. Is each first letter of words in a caption capital? What about conjunctions & prepositions. Is there exceptions?

Some capitalize all of the 'main' words (i.e. except conjunctions, etc) and others capitalize only the first word. It depends on the type of submission, the field of the topic, the publisher, etc.
