Capitalize "The Majors" when referring to Hollywood studios ?

Should I capitalize the M in "The Majors" when referring to the big Hollywood studios ?

(And btw, is that phrase dated ? If so, what more modern phrase should I use instead ?)

Thank you. The reason I'm considering the phrase is that I'm working on English subtitles for a French conference, so I need the text to be as concise as possible. "The Majors" had the advantage of being very short, but as you pointed out, it seems to evoque completely different things to nowadays... (All Google returned was about the capitalization of academic majors, for exampe)
