Capitalization of an organization

I am writing an annual appeal for the XYZ Foundation. Is it correct to say, "Your donation — in any amount — helps our volunteer foundation and the School District continue to.... " ? Must I capitalize foundation? Should School District be lower case? Naturally I am referring to just one foundation and just one district.

In your first sentence you have named the foundation, so a capital letter is necessary. Later, 'our volunteer foundation' and 'the school district' need not be capitalised, but nobody will arrest you if you do so. Rover
