Capitalization

I'm writing an article in which the speaker is referring to Native Americans BUT in this instance the word American does NOT follow the word native...but still, I am positive that the speaker is referring to such a person. e.g. "He's good when working with young Native males..." The speaker works with Native American youth here in the U.S.
