Capitalization

Do you capitalize any of the words in this sentence?

In 1997, the students in the eighth grade class of 2009 were toddling two-year-olds.

Top answer

I don't think it is necessary, but it is common practice to capitalize 'Class' in this situation: the eighth grade Class of 2009. I cannot see capitalizing 'eighth grade'-- it is really too much.
