Hello.
Must the word nordic here be capitalized?

Of the Nordic countries, Norwegian and Swedish women live the longest.

To me this sentence sounds as though Norwegian and Swedish women are examples of Nordic countries. How about "In the Nordic countries, Norwegian and Swedish women live the longest" or "Among residents of the Nordic countries, Norwegian and Swedish women live the longest."

No, that's my point. In this sentence: "of all of us he plays the best" he is one of "all of us."

In the original sentence, "Norwegian a nd Swedish women" are not "Nordic countries."

Once you say, "Of the Nordic countries," the subject of the next part of the sentence should be one (or more) of the Nordic countries:
