Should the title Doctor be capitalized in a sentence.
For example:
I know that Doctor Smith is teaching an anatomy class again.
Is it a capital Doctor or doctor? Is doctor a title like professor or is it considered a degree?

Yes in this case it is his title so it should be capitalised, however it is more common to write it as 'Dr.'
