Capitalisation rules

I need help to understand capitalisation rules in regard of their use in science articles/essays.

(1) Name of the scientist used as name of units. Should it be Newton per meter^2 or newton per meter^2 (unit of force per unit area)?

(2) Name of the scientist used to describe natural phenomena. Should it be Rayleigh scattering or rayleigh scattering* (scattering by air molecules first described by Lord Rayleigh), *Doppler shift or doppler shift?(Shift in wavelength because of relative motion of source and target first described by Doppler).

(3) Figures/ Diagram referred in article. Variation of pressure with temperature is shown in Figure 1*? or *figure 1?

(4) Names of chemical elements
Rubber deteriorates because of it reacts with ozone*? or *Ozone?
