Capitalisation

When used in a sentence, should the "The" of The Oxford English Dictionary be capitalised?

i.e. According to The Oxford English Dictionary... (title in italics)

And what about other names such as the Grand National? As they do not require italics, is there no need to capitalise 'the'? Thanks again!
