Capitalisation

1. Scientists have demonstrated that an ordinary airplane flight is like a brief visit to the Fountain of Youth.

2. If you fly around the world, preferably going eastward to gain the added motion of the Earth's rotation, the atomic clocks show that you'll return younger than you would have been if you had stayed home.

Question 1) I don't understand why underlined parts are capitalised.

Question 2) It's a little difficult to understand the part in bold. Is it OK to say 'you'll reture younger than you stay home.'

The Fountain of Youth is a legendary place name. The same goes for Atlantis (the lost continent), Camelot (capital city of King Arthur) and El Dorado (legendary city of gold.) These are all capitalized.
