Capital One: Vikings

I find it annoying that the Capital One "Vikings" all have British accents. They all have this snobbish Islander (English) accent that is so way off! If anything they should have Norse, Danish, or by default a German, etc. accent. (Those who know minimal history know what I'm talking about. WTF!!! They should really do minimal research.

I find it annoying that they're affected by the success of a credit card company. Did that really happen?

Does this refer to some advertisement on the foolbox? I'm interested in the OP's perception that the accents are "snobbish". (I see she doesn't seem to m

Yes. The advertisements are quite amusing. If I have to watch a commercial, I'd rather watch a commercial like this.

What gets me about posters like Lava is that they are referring to a commercial where a large group of people dressed like Vikings or barbarians or something is wandering around worrying about which credit card people use. Everything about the comme

As I was reading this thread, I realized I'm quite aware that the Vikings are the Capital One spokespeople. Then I looked further down the list of postings, and saw one about David Spade's Capital One commercials. I realized that though I've seen those commercials a million times as well, I had no idea what they were selling. The main thing I remember is that he's snarky and he says "no" a lot. Co

I'm the same way. Even those few commercials that manage to impress themselves on my consciousness rarely manage to include who they are advertising. There is a mil

The Gecko speaks with what sounds like an Aussie accent, in the latest, where he's playing the sympathy card to get his gecko friends to spread t
