Capabilities or abilities

Hi
Which is better here?
1.She performed to the best of her capabilities/abilities.
2. I performed to the limits of my abilities. Does this sentence sound right?

Hi Vsuresh In sentence 1, I would prefer ability or capability. I do not believe that capabilities/abilities would be incorrect, I just feel that using the plural is redundant. Sentence 2 is truly awkward.
