Can’t we use this sentence at all?

Can’t we use this sentence at all? :

“Did you say what you’ve got at home, Malfoy, a Comet Two Sixty?”

HI You probably can't use that sentence unless you are talking about Harry Potter A Comet Two Sixty is a type of magic broomstick that is workmanlike, but not over-speedy. They bring out a new broomstick every year, so if you are still on a 260 then you are well out-of-date Probably not a phrase that you can use in ordinary conversation Dave

Yes, but I'm asking about the grammar. Is the sentence okay with its grammar?

Hi

I think the grammar is fine

- Did you say what you've got at home ... ?

This is mocking and rhetorical: "Remind me, did you tell me what broomstick you have at home?"

- A Comet Two Sixty

Answers his own question, and the answer refers back to "what"

I'm sure the grammar is OK

J K Rowling can generally be depended on for good grammar
