can't understand what the rib refers to

Hello, I have 2 questions. help me, please!

---------------------------------------------------

My foot strarted vibrating and I was intstantly desperate, wondering if my body would freeze and plummet. There was no reversing any of this because you cannot climb down hard rock any more than a huddler can run his coursse backward. My breating was frenzied while my arms numb from the previous 2,000 feet climbing, felt like concrete. Pinching that little rib with my left hand, I just managed to extend my right arm and jam my hand into the crack above. But the crack was too shallow, and it accepted no more than a third of my hand.

............................................................................

(q1) I think, numb should be changed to numbed. right?

(q2) Is the rib of a person or is the rib just a rock?

thank you .

Thank you for replying me. I checked the spelling. I think the following paragraph has no spelling mistake. If there is no spelling mistake, what is your answer for my first question?

It's ok if you add another comma. Imagine that clause in brackets to get the meaning. It's an aside on the state of his/her arms.

My breating was frenzied while my arms, numb from the previous 2,000 feet climbing, felt like concrete.

Hurdles. They are called hurdles. Not huddles.

Hi,

As GG says, hurdlers.

Say 2000 feet of climbing.

I have to say, I think I would have been a much better athlete if "huddling" had been a sport though. Emotion: smile
