Can't think of a word

Hello. I am having a little trouble to think of the right word. What is that word that means that you are criticizing someone of your own faults?

Thanks!!!

Carl Jung uses the term projection, but I'm not sure this is what you are looking for.

It's "the pot calling the kettle black."

Or as someone (Gandhi?) once said: "When you point a finger, three fingers point back at you."

(Not exactly one word, sorry.)

One word: fingerpointing. But it doesn't carry the full meaning that you want.
Putting the blame on others?
Have a chip on your shoulder?
Shift the blame? --> 3 words
Shift-the-blame ---> 1 word if this can be considered a word
How about "impute"?

Projecting could be the word.

The word you are looking for is spelled "blame" not "blaim" but it's not the word that describes what the original poster was looking for. It's called projection in psychologist's terms, acting like a hypocrite in human terms, and "calling the kettle black" in idiomatic terms.
