I met the phrase “profit of doom”. Actually it was in the title of some business article. When I googled it, I saw lots of entries but I still can’t grasp the meaning. Could you, please, explain the meaning of it?

It's a pun of some sort, a play on words. Prophet of doom is a prophet who foretells some future disaster. Profit has nearly the same pronunciation.
