Can't Find These In Any Dictionary

Can I write these this way?

He knocked down the 9-pin. (With a hyphen?)
Or: 9 pin? Nine pin? Ninepin?

In the game of billiards, Marcus knocked the 6-ball in the side pocket.
He also finished things off by sinking the 8-ball in the corner pocket.
I believe we should hyphenate numbers like 8 and 6 to the word ball when used like this.
Agreed?
