Is there a difference between the following sentences?
I like it because of it being tasty.
I like it because of the fact that it's tasty.

so when do you normally use those particular structures?

I don't; they are rather non-native in composition. The second ('because of the fact that') is a clunky phrase used by poor native writers.

I cannot think of anything specific. They are just more ungainly and awkward than Mister Micawber's version.

So I suppose I would use them when I want to be awkward on purpose - it gets the other person's attention.
