What does "caned" mean?

"caned" doesn't make sense. My guess is that it is a scanno for "called".

I think it's just a typo for canned.
A canned system is jargon for a complete system that will work as soon as you take it out of the box and install it.

Thank you both so much. I downloaded the book on the Internet it has another mistakes like "miJIions" instead of "millions". Do you think the original book has these mistakes too?
