What's the difference between using can and could in this situation? Is one more possible than the other? Please explain to me. Thanks.

The meanings are basically the same. " It's sort of a rhetorical question. ) We couldn't possibly make this any clearer etc.

The meanings are basically the same. The question perhaps sounds more polite when using "could."

It's sort of a rhetorical question. It's really a statement (isn't it?) We couldn't possibly make this any clearer etc.
