cancelled or have cancelled

I just want to let you know that I ( cancelled, have cancelled) my accounting class in February. So please disregard my tuition reimbursement application. I am planning of taking a class at XYZ university this summer.

kolokoyI ( cancelled, have cancelled) my accounting class in February.
As I read it, "in February" specifies when the cancellation occurred. In that case you can't use the present perfect (have cancelled).
