Hi
I have recently discovered formal language to be causing me problems, especially if the addresses are going to be - as in my new job - native speakers of English.
Just as in this example. What I need to do is add a note regarding cancellations to an email confirmation of a training. The training is free of charge, but it is extremely important for my organisation to minimise cancellations and to get some written justification if attendees can't make it.
Could I get help with this please?
Here is what I would write.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, we would greatly appreciate a minimum 7 days' notice and a brief note on the cause emailed at: Email Removed">Email Removed. Since all our trainings are government-funded, we need to provide such anonymised information in our reports.
How does this sound like to a native English ear?
Thank you.
