Canadian anthem

Hi,

I cannot understand the following line from the Canadian national anthem:

>> True patriot love in all thy sons command.

What does the word "command" mean here? Is it a noun or a verb?
If it is a noun, then does it mean "an order" or "a squad?

Thanks

The line is an inversion of "Command true patriot love in all thy sons" (i.e. citizens).

"Command" is an imperative verb addressed to Canada personified.
