Can you use "anyone" instead of "others"?

Can you use "anyone" instead of "others" in the sentence below?

1)She has never been heard to speal ill of anyone.

I think 2) below sounds natural but not sure about 1).

2)She has never been heard to speal ill of others.

Can you tell me whether 1) is also ok or not?

Thank you!
