Is the sentence correct and who dislocated his shoulder? How would you make the distinction as to who dislocates his shoulder?

The shoulder blade cannot be dislocated. It is a flat bone on the back. Dislocating the shoulder is when the humerus bone comes out of its rotator cup.

The usual grammar procedure is to look for the nearest preceding noun that is suitable, ie that is male in this case. That is his 3-year-old.. But if it is important, ask,as the writer may intend it to be the father.
