Can you tell me how to say this?

Both movie are good. One is slow to start, and the other is slow in the middle. Both movies have the same plot but a different storylines. Both are about an attack on the white house, but the events are a bit different. One is an attack by the Koreans, the other by someone on the president's staff. It is reasonable to say it's the same movie, but the storylines is are different.
