Can you say?

Hi,

"Metallica are not nominated in neither of the categories"

thanks

I would use the singular for Metallica, considering the band one thing, not several people. Change neither to either.

What you have here is a double negative. If they're not nominated in neither of the categories, they must be nominated in either one or the other.

Otherwise you would say either "Metallica are nominated in neither of the categories" or "Metallica are not nominated in either of the categories."

Or, as Grammar Geek points out, "Metallica IS nominated in neither of the categories."

Actually, I suggested "not nominated in either." But "nominated in neither" is just as good.
