Title: The increase in the production of consumer goods results in damage to the natural environment. What is the cause of this? What can be done to solve the problems

My essay:

It is true that never before has the number of consumer products boomed, bringing about huge destruction in the natural environment. This essay will put forward the underlying factors for this issue and some plausible methods to tackle this.

Firstly, two fundamental elements are attributed to the environmental degradation caused by consumer items. The first reason is that manufacturing goods leads to a great deal of detrimental emissions. So dramatically many factories and industrial operations are mushrooming that enormous amounts of noxious fumes and sewages are released. As a result, those environmentally destructive chemicals can contribute to a wide range of kinds of pollution, exacerbating global warming. Additionally, on no account do we ignore the low-awareness of citizens about environmental conservation. In lieu of recycling items, many consumers relentlessly discharge trash into the environment such as the landfill or water bodies. If those areas are contaminated, it can pose a threat to the natural habitats of many species.

To alleviate this problem, either cutting-edge technological applications in eco-production or raising awareness is needed. It is worth highlighting that the governments should encourage the businesses to adopt environmentally-friendly manufacturing methods. These technological innovations can be applied into recycling the untreated industrial waste. Furthermore, only when people are aware of environmental protection, can this problem be radically addressed. The governments and local authorities ought to launch some campaigns not only at school but also in some public areas to inform residents about the benefits of green lifestyles. To illustrate, many programmes are broadcast on many kinds of media platforms to capture the public attention on a regular basis.

In conclusion, bearing in mind that environmental damages stem from not only the factories but also the users, some viable solutions such as applying eco-friendly methods or educational campaigns can be taken into account.
