N.A.F.T.A

N.A.F.T.A has caused an increase in agricultural production in Canada, Mexico, and the United States due to the breaking of trade barriers which has led to an increase of trade between these countries. The free trade agreement in the U.S Canada and Mexico start in the year of 1988, this trade was call the north Atlantic free trade agreement. Or N.A.F.T.A the purpose of this trade was to make used of the good and services between these 3 countries. It was first sign by the president of the United States bill Clinton. But not many of the congress man like the idea of NAFTA. president Clinton said "the ones who think that this agreement will not help our country they are wrong" thanks of this agreement the U.S is getting billions of dollars, by making trillions in use of profits in goods and services. But the GDP said that Canada is making more money than U.S is second and then Mexico goes in third. But this agreement has it cons and pros to, because Many of Mexico farmers were put out of business Not only in Mexico but in the U.S to. The air pollution had a damage affecting rural farmers as well.

The N.A.F.T.A agreement was between Canada and Mexico which was call, Canada-united states free trade agreement. after the agreement between this two countries U.S decided to have a negotiation with the Mexican government to sign a similar treatment, Canada ask to join this treatment, that U.S was negotiating with the Mexican government because they wanted to maintain the deal with the U.S but the real reason why they wanted was because they wanted to have more gains for the Canadian economic. In December 17, 1992 the president of the U.S George h. w. bush, the president of Mexico, Carlos Salinas and the Prime Minister Brian Mulroney sign the agreement that yet need it to be revised. But during this period changes have being made in Canada and U.S government. Bill Clinton was now the new president and jean Chretien had take office in Canada as the new president as well. During the campaign of these presidents the main issue was the North Atlantic free trade agreement, in that election more Canadians voted for anti-free trade parties, the liberals and the democrats. But the ones who won were the 'pro-free trade progressive conservatives" who easily agree to pass N.A.F.T.A. on November 17 1993 the House of Representatives in the U.S approve N.A.F.T.A by a vote of 234 to 200. Clinton signed this treatment in to a law in December 8, 1993. While this was occurring in Canada and U.S in 2001 Mexico's economics was the sixteenth largest in the word .by joining N.A.F.T.A. became one of the strongest countries in the economic area. But why Mexico's still look as a poor nation? Mexico’s resource remains a controversy.

In addition, N.A.F.T.A gains have increase during the pass years; N.A.F.T.A has 450 million people producing $17 trillion in profits of goods and services. The Unites state is making $918 billion in trade with goods. But Canada was the country that gain more, of its profits with A GDP of 3.6% and us have a GDP of 3.3% and Mexico with a 2.7% which means that Canada have more gains in profit then U.S and Mexico, and we are talking about almost 14.9 million to 15.7 million in employment raising. That keep increasing each year, what we can see in this numbers is that the gains of the good and exportation of each country had a lot of money income for each country, but the country who is really benefiting is Canada. By making billions of dollars in exportation between this three countries and the numbers keep growing due to N.A.F.T.A

The economics of this country it is really getting better? The statics are showing how the government is benefiting, but are the farmers getting benefited as well? No they are not; maybe they are the ones who are not getting anything at all. In Mexico there was a protest because the farmers were not happy the way they make them pay of the tariffs of the corn. Thousand of Mexicans farmers gather to protest against this issue. They are paying more for the corn products. The main reason why the protest was made was because of the cheap exportation of corn. The farmer people said that this agreement is making them to immigrate in the north. The North American free trade agreement is getting jobs to the people who work on factories, but how about the people who do not work on factories. Well they do not get any of these opportunities. The farmers are the ones who are not getting any peace of the cake. In the other hand, the global warming is getting affected as well, the government is constructing more factories and they are cousin air pollution that is damaging our planet. As we can see N.A.F.T.A. is not as good as everyone said, is helping people to get jobs, it is not helping the government to have a better economic. It is giving the government more income for the country. It’s not beneficence everyone, the farmer people who in fact, want the government to negotiate the treaty. The global warming is one of the most affected in all this. If mother earth can talk she, will agree, with the farmers to renegotiate the agreement. To make the N.A.F.T.A more efficient for the Mexican farmers.

In the other hand, even the countries like United States is some time not agree with Canada way to export. United States and Canada have, always argue for example, they argue that the United States had impose that Canada should make a 27% duty, in Canadians softwood imports. What this issue means is that Canada has to pay more for the importation of the softwood. And this is problem that has being a main issue during many years between these countries. another issue is that is when united states wanted to bring oil to Canada but the Canadians banded this exportation by bringing that this was a health danger which we all know it was not true. These problems had being occurring since the beginning of the north Atlantic free trade agreement. Problems that need to be solve and need to be revising deeply, so that way they can understand what are the main issues, if they do so the farmers and even the entire countries can be benefited, as well.

N.A.F.T.A probably had influence the people of our government because it have broke barriers between Mexico and U.S. Canada have always being a friend with the Mexican government. But U.S has always had lot of issues with the Mexican government. Maybe this is a key to a free and peaceful agreement for the government of each representative country. In order to agree in the north Atlantic free trade agreement, the government need to check the contract in order to know if its beneficiating to the people. Because “a government is made for the people and by the people.” Which means that the government need to think in how N.A.F.T.A. beneficiate the people for example the farmers of Canada and specially Mexico

On the other hand, I want the people to know the strengths and weaknesses of the north Atlantic free trade agreement. As I mention before it have pros and cons. If it really were a good trade. It would not have mistakes and it will benefice the people. Even if they do a good treatment the government needs to invest the money that the treatment has left them, and invest it in jobs, with the farmers, and more education. Instead of wasted in war, guns, and more war. The problem is not just N.A.F.T.A but is more deeply it is the Government Issue. That needs to be revise deeply.

N.A.F.T.A has caused an increase in agricultural production in Canada, Mexico, and the United States due to the breaking of trade barriers which has led to an increase of trade between these countries. If we think back in 50 years who will though that U.S, Canada and Mexico will break the barriers of the trade of production. Even though n.a.f.t.a has a lot of issues, it stills a way to generate an income for each representative country. Still, need to be revising to fix the problems that have generated to the Mexican farmers. And the problems that cause a big damage to the global warming.
