Based on your own experience, please discuss an example of a situation where your teamwork and/or leadership skills have been tested. In your answer, describe the event and your involvement. What did you learn from the experience? What would you do differently in the future should a similar situation arise?
During my school years I was one of the best wherever I was. In the primary and secondary school I have been scout squad leader of my class and took part in lots of events with my team. I obtained big amount of medals, certificates and other during my participation period.
When I was a student, since my second studying year I became faculty student council member and in half a year I became faculty student council head assistant. The difference between head and head assistant appointment was huge but I for me to be a head assistant was much better and here are some points why:
• All events was organized and controlled by me ( freshman day, faculty king/queen event, faculty day and others)
• All student council expenses and profits were controlled by me.
• All responsibility of everything made by student council was on me
Head council was like a Queen in Great Britain but in couple we were really good team and we complement each other in work field. Under my control was approximately 25-30 students with different characters and live wives but each of them was a part of our big team.
The biggest event for me was Parliament election campaign in Ukraine. Campaign duration was approximately 3 month and from the beginning I was regular worker on the lowest stage. After one month I met the right people who gave me a chance to visit ours headquarters. They offered me to be a head of external advertising department. My responsibilities were:
• Supply all required equipment
• Gather whole team in meeting point and apportion workload for every person day to day
• Finished work control
• Gathering whole team to the different event organized by headquarters
• Payment of wages every week to each person

From the beginning my team quantity increased from 12 to 40 persons. But I still had a free time, so I became head of tent department (people from this department has to stay whole day in small tents and spread campaign literature and support any info about our candidate to people) in the same time. So in the second department my team quantity was 18 people. 30% of my team was older than me (50% - students, 20% - people of my age, 30% - people older than 35 years).

I worked hard but in the end I obtained unique experience. I learned how to work with big amount of people and with crowd in general, how to control everything and solve huge amount of problems in short period of time, how to be a leader among people who are older than you and how to control them.

If the similar situation will arise in future I would reconstruct a little bit the way how to control everything. I would make in easier, so I would have more time to take one more appointment.
