Can you please rephrase this short paragraph for me?

The paragraph below is part of a dialogue. It looks to wordy for me and there might be some grammatical mistakes as well. Can you please check it for me? Thanks.


They said that they want my address so that they can send me the money by cheque. On the other hand they want my mobile number and my passport photo to be sure they are sending the money to the winner. The strange thing about this is that I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life.
