ABSTRACT
This “Mission Drone” is basically a drone that is expected to perform five missions. The missions are altitude hold, stabilize hold, fail safe, navigating and loiter modes. Before the drone was assembled, components were inspected many times to replace any faulty component. After the drone was assembled, several PID tuning tests were done to determine the best value for P, I and D terms. Stabilize hold mode was tested first to check if the drone would still be stable when a change in direction was made. Next, altitude hold mode was tested to determine that the drone could hover at that height while in this mode. Subsequently, in fail safe mode, the remote controller was intentionally switched off and checked if the drone could make its way back to its original position where it remembered the first GPS value l. In the navigating mode, two points were locked and the drone would commute from point 1 to point 2. In loiter mode, the drone was pulled away from its position and it would somehow force its way back to its original position. Data from all the components were retrieved through a pair of telemetries. The Data were meticulously analyzed and verified that those values did not vary a lot. Therefore, these findings prove that the drone is stable.
