Essay & Composition Writing

Can you please help me with checking my speech? :)

I used to dream about being a writer. Now I want to be a scriptwriter, so that writing is still sort of a big thing for me. And since I’ve learned how to read I always had one inspiration, JK Rowling, I am actually still waiting for my acceptance letter to Hogwarts. That’s why I’ve chosen her interview as my clip.
J.K, or rather maybe just “Jo” as she calls herself, was an ordinary student whose dream was becoming a writer (sounds familiar, huh). When exactly, and more important, how her dream came true? Well, asked about where did she get the inspiration, she responded “Well, if I knew, I go to live there...but I have no idea”. And she got the point! Because the good ideas just come, as often as bad ones, we just need to make the right choice. “Normally it’s a process of kind of twisted logic” said Rowling, answering still the same question. I completely agree. To be a good writer you need to find the balance between thinking about what you are about to write and writing it. More you think about it, less concentrated you are, and you might even lose the main point of the stuff! But at the same time, you must control every single phrase for be sure that it fits to the previous one. And surprise, surprise... Joanne, asked about some advices for young people who have an interest in writing, responded that they need to read as much as they possibly can because it is the best way to recognize good writing and learn what makes bad writing. Simple and genius and the same time, isn’t it? I find it genius because lots of people I’ve met before thought that reading is important and it can help with writing, but we need to beware of it due to the fact that we will write as our favourite writers, instead of find our own way of writing… But that’s a nonsense for me because I consider writing as a quite complicated process, writing is not as reading or walking, we can’t just learn how to do it and keep doing this after that. We are learning all the time how to write, always becoming better(or, at least, in most cases…) and that’s what Joanne wanted to say. Read as much as you can, write everything you find interesting and then make your choices. And, the most important, evolve. It is really a normal thing, that first one hundred of pages you’ve written will suck. Maybe even first thousand, but who cares! The key for being a good writer is to develop a powerful creative imagination at first, and keep practising in writing, starting with describing what was at breakfast yesterday and what they might serve tomorrow. This is it, everybody has started with small things because are the small things which create big ones.
