Dear John,
I hope this letter finds you well. I’ve received your letter concerning about the choice between an academic life now and an immediate job in the marketplace.
I believe you aren’t suited to higher education because studying at university seems too theoretical to you. I know that you are more of a practical person, aren’t you? Perhaps you would be bored soon if you decided to further your education.
Getting a job now is a better decision for you to make, as you don’t have to worry much about your current money issue. I emphasise that your finances are limited at the moment, so why don’t you just seek a well-paying occupation?
There are in fact some career paths that you can consider now, for example being a car mechanic or a tour guide. I remember that you once mentioned these favourite jobs when we were at secondary school, right?
If you need some more of my advice, let me know. Keep in touch with you soon.
Best wishes,
Alex Pham
