Overall, there are ten main stages, from preparing cacao beans to delivering to the factory and then handling the final product.
The main ingredient is ripe red pods taken from cacao trees, which grow in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. White cacao beans are separated from the harvested pods to be used for the following steps. After undergoing the fermentation process, these beans are spread in a large tray and exposed directly to the sun. Consequently, dried beans are packed in large sacks and then transported to the manufacturing plant by train or lorry. The next step is to roast these beans in an industrial oven, with a temperature of 350 degrees Celsius. Following this, they are passed through a crushing machine to take away outer shells. Finally, the inner part is applied with pressure, so that the liquid chocolate production is finished.
