Can you please give me feedback on my cover letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I enclose my resume in response to your job ad in seek for an Electronics Engineer position. My educational background, knowledge, experience and interest in Design/Development of electronic systems appear to perfectly match the requirements for this job.



As a graduate Engineer I want to pursue my career in Design/Development of Electronic equipment. Work on my dissertation to this point has involved extensive research, hypothesis formulation, analysis, documentation and team collaboration with my mentor. In addition my elective coursework in Circuit Systems, Control Systems and Communication Systems has increased my interest and honed my analytical and problem solving skills to design and analyse wide range of systems.



As you can see from my attached resume, I developed my research and engineering skills through several internships and academic projects. While working towards my degree, I was employed as a Technical Assistant in Cubic Defence NZ Ltd. I was effectively involved with a team to test, analyse and finding faults related to PCB’s and different military equipment. I have a strong academic background in Electronics, and I can apply my combination of knowledge and experience to the Electronics industry. I will be available to begin employment as early as possible.



As an active member of the University of Auckland campus, I developed my leadership skills. As Treasurer of the WIE, I am in charge of planning meetings, activities and our annual departmental banquet.
