The Image of Father
My mother knew that the father/daughter relationship was as important if not more so than the mother/daughter relationship, and was not spoken about much before elderly in the family. This was because of the more traditional role my mother was playing in raising children. She never told her husband what she would expect of him as a parent let alone as a husband.
