Lead sentence: It’s time for the annual Hunger Games, and it has had a devastating start full of bloodshed, tension, and quite some casualties already. This may be the best year yet.

Mid/ending: 11 out, 13 to go. The first day has been a total battlefield. The participants this year seem very promising, with some returning faces from previous years. Some of them working together to have a bigger chance at survival. Katniss Everdeen, a girl from District 13 has set record as the first volunteer in the history of The Hunger Games. She’ll be one to look out for. The participants are running through the forest as we speak, looking for food and shelter to get through the day. Their eyes ever so watchful for their peers that are somewhere on the battlefield as well. The hunger is slowly taking its toll in a race against time.
